Drawn from Lawrence and Lorsch (1967), the six determinants are the diagnostic criteria for whether a coordination mechanism functions as an effective integrative device. RevOps has been evaluated against all six and meets the criteria across structure and orientation (balanced time orientation), influence on subsystems (substantial), perceived basis of rewards (super-ordinate revenue goals), total organisational influence (significant), locus of influence (at the appropriate operational level), and modes of conflict resolution (problem-solving and confrontation). Practitioners can use the six determinants as a deployment checklist or as a troubleshooting framework when RevOps implementations underperform.
